Vespa PX200

BIO

I was born and raised here in Milton Keynes (Fenny Stratford to be precise) back in 1952 and seen a lot of changes. Bought my first LI 150 when I was 15 (naughty naughty) passed my test when I was 16 and progressed to a mean machine Vespa SS 180 bored up to a 215 which was quick (very). 4 wheels beckoned a couple of years later followed by marriage kids etc.,etc., so my scootering days faded into a distant memory.

For my sins I surfed E-bay about 3 years ago and a Vespa PX 200 in the same livery colours as my old bike lept out at me which left me no option but contact the guy selling the scooter re living old times and memories, putting a bid and then the next thing I knew I was driving to South Wales to pick it up. I cannot believe that after all these years, the buzz the smells in fact the whole sensation of Scootering has returned as if it had only been a couple of years away.

I have not been too far on the PX to date but I am hoping that now I have joined the Tin Soldiers this will give me a good reason to get on the scooter and get some miles behind us.
